Biofuel

Any fuel derived by a variety of processes from an organic source that is renewable, i.e. capable of being replenished naturally. Biofuels are made from biomass materials, such as grains, sugar crops, starch and organic waste, including used vegetable oils and animal fats, and are usually blended with petroleum or diesel. Used in transportation or as heating oils, biofuels reduce the overall consumption of fossil fuels and can also help to reduce GHG emissions.
